The Augmented Reality Simulator Soldamatic’s external design is inspired by real welding systems. It supports four manual arc welding operations.
AR Helmet
The ergonomic design of the Augmented Reality Helmet creates an effect similar to a real welding mask and provides a real welding environment for the student undergoing welding training.

Application Workshop
It has been determined that students who safely complete basic training on the simulator adapt faster and become more qualified when transitioning to real workshop conditions.
Student Simulator
Based on Augmented Reality, these tools increase student motivation while enhancing learning skills. The use of Augmented Reality (AR) allows “transforming” a physical object according to the user's actions, significantly increasing practice time.
Teacher Software
Easy-to-use software for managing the training process and developing original content.
Additionally, it allows instructors to monitor each student's work in real-time, evaluate it, and generate detailed reports.
Analysis Module
Available in both teacher software and student simulator, it allows reviewing experiments at any time. It enables the instructor to score trainees and see where and why mistakes occurred.
Content
Theoretical content: International Welding Programs compatible with IWS International Welder Program, AWS, German DVS Media, and CESOL Sense Program.
Practice: Real Welding Procedures and Technical Specifications with Soldamatic.
Test: Theoretical and practical tests to assess students' skills.
· The welding simulator is user-friendly.
· It is based on an Augmented Reality system.
· The welding simulator includes licensed teacher software.
· It features original gas-shielded and TIG torches, a specially designed ELECTRODE ARC WELDING clamp (SMAW - Electrode tip simulation), and at least two electrodes for TIG and SMAW.
· It can simulate and analyze a real welding process with the following characteristics;
· Position of the welded joint,
· Distance between contact tip and workpiece (CTWD),
· Work angle, travel angle, travel speed.
· Aim accuracy,
· Spatter,
· Simulated workpieces include at least V-Butt 6” Pipe, Overlap Plate, T-Inner Corner, V-Butt Plates, and T-Inner Corner 6” pipe to plate.
· Welding can be performed according to the following positions prepared referencing EN ISO 6947:2011 and ANSI/AWS A3.0/A3.0.2010 standards;
· V-Butt 6” Pipe PA / PC / PH / PJ / HL045 / JL045,
· T-Inner Corner 6” pipe to plate PB / PD / PH / PJ 6F,
· Overlap Plate PB / PF / PG / PD / PA,
· Work angle, travel angle, helmet-plate distance, and arc length (CTWD) accuracy can be measured.
· Workpiece thickness is selectable (3, 6, and 10 mm).
· Electrode selection according to welding types is as follows;
· ELECTRODE ARC WELDING (SMAW) - (E7018 / E6010 / E6013 for carbon steels, E316L for stainless steels),
· GAS SHIELDED (MIG/MAG / GMAW) – (ER70S-6 for carbon steels, ER316L for stainless steels, ER5356 for aluminum),
· FCAW with flux-cored wire (FCAW-G / FCAW-S) - (E71T-1 / E71T-7 for carbon steels),
· TIG welding (GTAW) - (ER70S-6 for carbon steels, ER316L for stainless steels, ER5356 for aluminum),
· Protective gas options include at least CO2, ARGON-CO2 mixture, ARGON-O2 mixture, and ARGON.
· Provides real-time feedback on the welding technique applied using visual cues.
· User exam evaluations can be conducted with teacher software.
· Teacher software can also control and supervise virtual welding via network (outputs can be reviewed graphically and visually afterwards).
· The simulator supports flat and method (segment) welding modes.
· The simulator allows manual and automatic trigger options while simulating TIG welding.
· At least flat, zigzag, triangular, pulse, and circular weld bead options are available.
· Options are available for both right-handed and left-handed users.
· Supports welding from right to left and left to right / top to bottom and bottom to top.
· For electrode and flux-cored wire welding, there is a slag removal feature to observe before and after slag removal.
It is an Augmented Reality system designed to make learning attractive for students preparing for the welding profession and to address the deficiencies of the new generation of industrial workers.
