Great Support from Argeline to Balıkesir's Economy and Education
Within the scope of the "Social and Economic Integration through Vocational and Technical Education Project," financed by the European Union under the Ministry of National Education, Argeline Technical Training Devices and Selka Limited cooperated to meet the technical training device needs of many schools in Turkey by equipping the laboratories of 50 selected Vocational Technical Anatolian High Schools.
Kemal Varın Numanoğlu, General Director of Vocational and Technical Education at the Ministry of National Education (MEB), stated that schools affiliated with the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education have been opened in regions with a high population of Syrians under temporary protection, and that with a new project supported by the EU, work has started in 8 pilot provinces: Adana, Bursa, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Kilis, Mersin, and Şanlıurfa.
THE PROJECT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN 50 SCHOOLSNumanoğlu expressed their aim to strengthen schools, meet students' needs to allow them to focus on their education, change the perception of vocational education in society—especially among Syrians under temporary protection—and contribute to its rightful status. He provided the following information about the project: "With this work to be carried out in 50 of our vocational and technical schools, workshops will be equipped with the latest technology devices in line with labor market needs, infrastructures will be renewed, and exemplary educational environments will be created. In addition to Syrians under temporary protection, support will be provided for transportation, educational materials, lunch, and practice opportunities for Turkish students in this educational environment."
